Groundskeeper / Porter for Citizen House Decker

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter will maintain the physical appearance and safety of the Citizen House Decker community. This onsite position supports the service team by ensuring common areas, amenities, and grounds are clean, functional, and welcoming for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping all common areas tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist.
• Change locks according to property policy and ensure pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects, and crawling in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
