About the role

HEI Civil, a leading civil construction firm operating across the western United States, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Castle Rock, CO office. Reporting to the Vice President of Project Management & Estimating, you will lead a portfolio of heavy civil projects from pre‑construction through final close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Provide executive‑level leadership for a diverse portfolio of heavy civil construction projects.
• Develop and execute project strategies, schedules, staffing plans, procurement approaches, and resource allocations.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify risks and opportunities, and drive operational efficiency.
• Ensure consistent application of project management standards, controls, and best practices.
• Participate in executive planning discussions and contribute to company‑wide growth strategies.
• Lead recovery efforts for under‑performing projects and implement corrective action plans.
• Serve as escalation point for complex project issues, contractual disputes, and client concerns.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing multiple heavy civil construction projects and project managers.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on profitability and schedule adherence.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills at the executive level.
