About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Sommelier to join our upscale dining team at Marcel, located in the iconic Breuer building on Madison Avenue. The successful candidate will support our refined continental cuisine by ensuring wine service excellence and upholding kitchen standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with established kitchen standards, procedures, departmental policies, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and proper food presentation.
• Collaborate with chefs and front‑of‑house staff to deliver a seamless dining experience.

Required profile

• Prior experience in an upscale, high‑volume fine‑dining environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support a collaborative, team‑oriented atmosphere.
• Open availability with flexible days and hours.

• Mastery across all line‑level cooking stations.
