About the role
The University of Tennessee Southern seeks a full-time, non-tenure-track Instructor of Business to join the Johnston School of Business. The instructor will teach undergraduate business courses both in-person and online, contributing to the university’s mission of academic excellence and regional impact.
Key responsibilities
- Teach a full load of approximately 15 credit hours per semester in areas such as Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management.
- Deliver courses using a variety of instructional methods to meet diverse learner needs.
- Maintain weekly office hours and provide mentorship to students of varying backgrounds and preparedness.
- Participate in departmental and university committees as assigned.
- Support student success through advising, tutoring, and other academic services.
Required profile
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS) in Business or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated potential for effective college-level teaching.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to integrity, collaboration, and the mission of UT Southern.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
