Frontend Engineer, Payments & Risk

About the role

Stripe is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join its Payments & Risk organization. You will help build consumer‑focused user interfaces and full‑stack products that serve millions of merchants and Stripe users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement elegant APIs and UI components that enable merchants to run and scale their businesses on Stripe.
• Develop new checkout experiences and next‑generation payment features that impact millions of customers.
• Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations teams to deliver high‑impact features.
• Own end‑to‑end problem solving across a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies.
• Maintain high engineering standards and ensure consistency across multiple codebases.

Required profile

• 2+ years of software development experience with a focus on modern frontend development.
• Ability to work on both short‑term and long‑term roadmaps, balancing business priorities and technical sustainability.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional stakeholders.
