Floating Painter/Porter – Richmond, VA

About the role

The Floating Painter/Porter is responsible for painting interior and exterior areas of residential properties, preparing apartments for move‑in and supporting the maintenance team with service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule, monitor and complete work order requests from supervisors, community staff and residents.
• Paint interiors and exteriors of apartments according to company guidelines.
• Prepare apartments for new residents by ensuring a fresh, clean finish.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas after each painting task.
• Monitor and replenish maintenance supplies, ordering items within budget as directed.
• Assist the maintenance supervisor with additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Experience with interior and exterior painting in residential settings.
• Ability to follow work orders and company painting standards.
• Attention to detail and commitment to keeping work areas tidy.
• Basic inventory awareness to keep supplies stocked within budget.
• Willingness to collaborate with the maintenance team.
