Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead UEP’s core accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this senior position partners with business units to drive financial insight and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and prepare financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and intercompany transactions.
• Support budgeting, rolling forecasts and provide variance analysis to leadership.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls (SOX or equivalent) and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance.
• Coordinate external audit activities and manage audit processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging ERP systems and technology upgrades.
• Provide financial analysis for business initiatives, cost optimization and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA, CMA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
• 6‑10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
