About the role
Handshake is seeking experienced users of OpenShot, Shotcut or Lightworks to help train AI systems that generate and edit video content. This remote, hourly contract lets you apply your video‑editing expertise to evaluate AI‑produced footage and improve its understanding of real‑world editing workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Create and refine tool‑related questions that guide AI evaluation.
- Review AI‑generated video outputs for accuracy, relevance, and adherence to professional editing standards.
- Annotate and label video assets to support machine‑learning training.
- Provide detailed written feedback on color correction, audio sync, timeline structure, and filter effects.
- Maintain consistency with established post‑production guidelines.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with OpenShot, Shotcut or Lightworks, either professionally or freelance.
- U.S. residency (including eligible F‑1 students with CPT/OPT).
- Strong written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on an asynchronous schedule.
Required skills
- Proficiency in OpenShot, Shotcut or Lightworks.
- Advanced video‑editing techniques, including timeline management, color correction, and audio synchronization.
- Experience annotating or labeling video content for quality review.
