Farm Extra Help Assistant (Temporary)

About the role

The Extra Help Assistant provides unskilled or semi‑skilled labor to support basic operations on the University Farm. This is a temporary, fixed‑term position focused on hands‑on agricultural work in a campus environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning, moving feed, and maintaining work areas.
• Assist with basic farm operations, including animal handling and care.
• Operate farm machinery and equipment under supervision.
• Follow safety and biosecurity protocols at all times.
• Support seasonal planting, harvesting, and other field activities as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions.
• Preferable experience with large animals and operating farm machinery.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Willingness to undergo background, motor‑vehicle, and substance‑abuse screening.
• Availability for the temporary fixed‑term schedule.
