About the role
The Extra Help Assistant provides unskilled or semi‑skilled labor to support basic operations on the University Farm. This is a temporary, fixed‑term position focused on hands‑on agricultural work in a campus environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning, moving feed, and maintaining work areas.
- Assist with basic farm operations, including animal handling and care.
- Operate farm machinery and equipment under supervision.
- Follow safety and biosecurity protocols at all times.
- Support seasonal planting, harvesting, and other field activities as needed.
Required profile
- Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions.
- Preferable experience with large animals and operating farm machinery.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Willingness to undergo background, motor‑vehicle, and substance‑abuse screening.
- Availability for the temporary fixed‑term schedule.
