About the role
This contract position supports a lean faculty operations team at a leading academic institution. You will manage day‑to‑day faculty HR processes, oversee the faculty lifecycle, and assist with system initiatives such as Workday testing.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain faculty HR administration, including appointments, reappointments, renewals, and personnel transactions.
- Coordinate faculty onboarding, off‑boarding, and employment‑lifecycle activities.
- Manage faculty records, documentation, and compliance processes.
- Provide support for faculty leave, contract administration, compensation updates, and HR requests.
- Assist with Workday testing, validation, troubleshooting, and business‑process support.
- Partner with Academic Affairs, Human Resources, and faculty leadership to ensure policy compliance.
- Support reporting, process improvements, and operational continuity.
Required profile
- 3+ years of experience in Faculty Affairs, Academic HR, or higher‑education personnel administration.
- Hands‑on experience with faculty lifecycle processes (appointments, onboarding, promotions, tenure, reviews).
- Background working in universities, colleges, or academic medical environments.
- Strong organizational abilities and stakeholder‑management skills.
