Equipment Engineer

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Equipment Engineer to enhance the efficiency, capability, and reliability of manufacturing processes and equipment at its Johns Creek, GA facility. You will apply engineering principles to design, optimize, automate, and troubleshoot equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze existing processes and equipment using statistical analysis, design of experiments, and FMEA to identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures in cross‑functional teams.
• Support capital projects, manage internal resources, and validate new equipment or processes.
• Provide technical support aligned with seniority level and collaborate with various internal groups.
• Ensure adherence to HSE, GXP/GMP, ISO, FDA, and OSHA regulations.
• Prepare and maintain documentation such as procedures, work instructions, validation reports, URS, FDS/FS, and FMEA records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (or high school + 8 years, Associate + 4 years).
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM CST, with up to 10% travel.
