About the role
Legacy Traditional Schools seeks an enthusiastic Elementary Teacher for Fourth Grade (26/27) to inspire young learners and deliver a rigorous back‑to‑basics curriculum. You will join a community dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and vibrant school spirit.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver direct instruction using the Spalding reading & writing program and enVision Math curriculum.
- Design and implement engaging instructional activities that meet diverse learning styles and special needs.
- Select, adapt, and create instructional resources to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records, assess curricular needs, and propose improvements.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff, both orally and in writing.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the instructional environment.
- Model professional and ethical standards in all interactions.
- Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and school events outside normal hours.
- Perform light physical tasks, move throughout the campus, and travel to other campuses as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Current state teaching certification (preferred).
- Ability to work in a physically active environment, including light lifting and standing for extended periods.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Spalding reading & writing program.
- Experience using the enVision Math curriculum.
- Direct instruction techniques.
