Distinguished ML Data Scientist

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a distinguished machine‑learning data scientist to lead the creation of cutting‑edge AI solutions for industrial applications. This senior, hands‑on role will shape the research, incubation and deployment of advanced ML models across multiple U.S. locations.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and recommend algorithmic solutions to complex industrial problems.
• Translate ambiguous business concepts into well‑defined data‑science questions and design experiments.
• Design and architect scalable data infrastructure and analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to prototype, pilot and test ML‑driven solutions.
• Contribute to scientific publications and internal AI/ML knowledge bases.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics or ML engineering.
• 4+ years of hands‑on statistical modeling, machine‑learning pipelines and experimental design.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Deep expertise in frontier AI techniques such as foundation models, multi‑modal language models, and agent‑based systems.
• Experience with responsible AI deployment, model drift mitigation and AI governance.
