Director, Product GTM & Commercialization

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a strategic leader to drive the go‑to‑market and commercialization of its Payment Optimization Platform (POP). The Director will shape how digital merchants and service providers adopt POP, ensuring the solution delivers measurable value and fuels growth across the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the GTM strategy for global digital partners, driving adoption, engagement and long‑term value.
• Own the customer adoption pipeline, identify high‑impact business opportunities and unlock growth with large merchants and partners.
• Partner with geographic and functional teams to align POP commercialization with broader optimization goals.
• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for payment optimization, lead customer meetings, support deal negotiations and represent POP in key forums.
• Participate in pilots, gather feedback, recommend enhancements and scale offerings across the digital merchant segment.
• Use analytics, market insights and customer feedback to shape penetration, adoption and product development strategies.
• Collaborate across a matrixed organization—including Product, Legal, Finance, Market Development, Account Management, Customer Experience and Marketing—to ensure successful commercialization.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of payment processing, authorization and acquiring services.
• Proven experience working in the acceptance space with merchants, acquirers and payment service providers.
• Strategic, customer‑focused leader with a track record of delivering business impact in digital payments.
• Strong ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive complex initiatives.
