About the role

The Director of Development for the College of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Education (CHASSE) leads private philanthropic efforts for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement, this senior fundraising professional will build and manage a portfolio of high‑value donors to support the university’s Centennial Fundraising Campaign.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, cultivate, and steward current and prospective high‑value donors.
• Develop and execute personalized engagement strategies, including frequent personal visits.
• Generate consistent gift production aligned with campaign goals.
• Maintain accurate donor records and ensure compliance with state, federal, and institutional policies.
• Collaborate with university leadership and advancement teams to integrate fundraising initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in program management, recruiting, sales/fundraising, or business development, preferably in an academic setting.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
