Desktop Support Technician, IT Operations

About the role

Tesla is looking for a highly technical Desktop Support Technician to join its IT Operations team in Austin, TX. You will be the front‑line point of contact for employees, providing both onsite and remote support for a wide range of hardware, software, and networking issues.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and detailed follow‑up for all support tickets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on computers, mobile devices, printers, telephony, and networking equipment.
• Work with backups, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure, and Windows Server environments.
• Utilise imaging and packaging tools, and develop scripts in Python or PowerShell.
• Manage enterprise remote imaging and administration tools such as SCCM, JAMF, and Intune.
• Maintain wireless, LAN, VPN, and DSL technologies.
• Create and improve technical documentation and procedures.
• Support Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of desktop support experience.
• At least 4 years working in Windows and macOS environments; Linux experience is a plus.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
