About the role
The Department Manager leads a specific department within an independent McDonald’s franchise restaurant, ensuring fast, accurate, and friendly service while maintaining high standards of food safety and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily shifts and ensure a consistent, high‑quality customer experience.
- Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set departmental goals, delegate tasks to crew members, and monitor progress.
- Report results and performance metrics to senior managers.
- Oversee Guest Service operations, including front‑counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru organization.
- Ensure kitchen staff produce safe, high‑quality food quickly and control food costs.
- Train crew on service and production procedures, including new menu items.
- Recruit, train, and schedule qualified crew to meet sales and profit targets.
Required profile
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership and ability to coach and develop team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and inventory control.
