About the role

The State of Georgia is hiring a Day Custodian for Athens Technical College. The position works Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing daily cleaning and maintenance of campus facilities.

Key responsibilities

Clean and service all restrooms, empty trash twice daily.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways, foyers, vending areas, and staircases.
Place wet‑floor signs after mopping and ensure floors are safe.
Maintain entryways, windows, interior and exterior mats, and remove debris such as spider webs and wasp nests.
Restock paper towel dispensers, hand sanitizers, and other consumables.
Perform additional custodial duties as assigned.

Required profile

No prior experience required.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in higher‑education custodial services is a plus.
