Data Analyst

About the role

Cognito Systems LLC, a joint‑venture of Resolution Think, is looking for a Data Analyst to support the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (GCERC). The role is full‑time, on‑site in New Orleans and focuses on data entry, records management, and SharePoint operations for RESTORE Act funded projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and quality‑check datasets for the COAST SharePoint site.
• Act as liaison between the records‑management contractor and program staff, resolving compliance issues.
• Maintain a bi‑weekly Records Management Tracking Spreadsheet for the Program Supervisor.
• Track field‑site visit completions and issue reminders to staff.
• Organize documentation, develop SOPs, and format meeting notes for rapid distribution.
• Monitor staff assignments and document‑development schedules, flagging potential delays.
• Draft, format, and finalize reports, graphics, and presentations using Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Prepare bi‑weekly status reports and present them to the GCERC Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in data management, information management, business administration, data science, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Strong attention to detail for data quality control and records compliance.
• Ability to work independently and support program staff on a daily basis.
