Data Analyst, Digital Finance

About the role

Warner Music Group is seeking a Data Analyst to support its Digital Finance function within Warner Chappell. The role focuses on building reliable data pipelines, maintaining reporting templates, and delivering actionable insights for senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain and improve standardized reporting templates that underpin market intelligence.
• Source and maintain analytics data on partners and competitors.
• Construct accounting data pipelines and establish a single, granular source of financial truth for Warner Chappell’s global digital business.
• Develop, enhance, and manage analytics dashboards that highlight key trends and summarize performance for senior executives.
• Source, clean, and summarize data for ad‑hoc requests from the digital licensing team during license negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, business analytics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• 2+ years of experience building clear data views from diverse, unstructured sources, preferably at an enterprise‑level company.
• 1+ year of experience in a music company is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and data warehousing expertise.
• ETL/ELT pipeline development and data validation.
• Data transformation using Python, R, or Java.
• Dashboard creation with Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, or Domo.
• Familiarity with data‑science techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, and k‑fold cross‑validation.
