Conveyor Technician – Senior Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The Conveyor Technician is a senior‑level maintenance professional responsible for ensuring the reliability of conveyor and material‑handling systems. You will lead advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, perform complex repairs, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead diagnostics and resolution of mechanical and electrical failures on conveyor systems.
• Perform full asset rebuilds, component replacements, and system restorations.
• Execute, validate, and close CMMS work orders with accurate documentation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
• Analyze recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Enforce strict safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Provide informal technical mentorship to junior maintenance staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 8+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Proven expertise with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Physical capability to lift up to 75 lb, work at heights, and operate in confined spaces.
