Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent will lead the execution of large‑scale commercial and industrial projects for Tesla’s Infrastructure Development team. This full‑time role involves extensive travel across North America, coordinating internal and external teams from design through site opening while maintaining safety, schedule, and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage both contracted and self‑performed construction projects.
• Communicate daily with project managers, site personnel, and key stakeholders.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust project schedules, identifying critical paths and removing roadblocks.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, state regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Produce daily and weekly site progress reports and maintain a clean, safe job site.
• Verify installations meet end‑user requirements and quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience managing large commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Prior experience as a superintendent or foreman on industrial facilities, brownfield, renovation, or tenant‑improvement projects.
• Ability to work in a high‑performance, cross‑functional environment with tight timelines.
• Willingness to travel up to 80 % of the time, often on short notice.

Required skills

• OSHA 30 certification.
• Working knowledge of building codes, NEC and NFPA 70E standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using construction management software and digital plan markup tools.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools and construction design documents.
