Construction Project Supervisor

About the role

Lochmueller Group is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer/Project Supervisor to join its South Bend, IN office. You will act as the resident project representative, overseeing construction activities for transportation and infrastructure projects throughout Northern Indiana.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the on‑site project supervisor for small to large, complex projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, owners, and inspectors throughout all construction phases.
• Lead pre‑construction, progress, and final inspection meetings.
• Interpret plans, specifications, and construction methods for field personnel.
• Oversee layout work, measurements, and verification of elevations.
• Supervise sampling, testing, and inspection of materials to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction engineering or supervision.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, state and federal regulations.
• Ability to manage complex construction activities and maintain stakeholder communication.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and accurate project delivery.
