Construction Project Engineer – Entry Level

About the role

AECOM Hunt is looking for an entry‑level Construction Project Engineer to join our Los Angeles team. The role starts in summer 2026 and offers the chance to work on diverse infrastructure projects while developing core engineering and construction skills.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of entry‑level assignments that develop professional knowledge and abilities.
• Follow senior staff instructions to complete tasks on schedule while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist in coordinating construction activities, tracking progress, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Support documentation, reporting, and data entry using standard construction procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Interest in working for a large general contractor and willingness to learn AECOM’s processes.
• Previous AECOM internship experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exposure to construction‑focused computer programs (e.g., project management or estimating software).
