Construction Manager – NYC $5M–$50M Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead $5M‑$50M small‑to‑mid‑size construction projects across New York City. The role covers the full project lifecycle from pre‑construction through Certificate of Occupancy, overseeing ground‑up builds, complex Alt‑1 renovations, additions and gut renovations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and track all construction phases from pre‑construction to CO.
• Coordinate general contractors, subcontractors and trades (plumbing, electrical, structural, MEP, etc.).
• Read, interpret and work directly within construction documents, drawings and CAD/Revit plans.
• Manage NYC DOB filings, inspections, code compliance and regulatory approvals.
• Maintain project schedules, logs, RFIs, submittals and comprehensive documentation.
• Represent ownership on‑site, hold subcontractors accountable and drive performance.
• Collaborate in a lean, entrepreneurial office environment and support team initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of NYC‑specific construction project management experience on Alt‑1 or ground‑up projects.
• Hands‑on experience with complex renovations, additions and new construction.
• Engineering or architectural degree (Mechanical, Structural, or Architecture preferred).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with all trades and stakeholders.
• Motivated, professional team player who thrives in a small‑office culture.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with construction management software.
• Deep familiarity with NYC DOB regulations and building codes.
