Construction Inspector (Providence, RI)

About the role

CDR Maguire Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to support transportation construction projects throughout the Greater Providence area for the 2026 season. The role involves consulting with contractors, engineers, and superintendents to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and inspect daily transportation construction activities across the Providence region.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with contract plans and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records documenting project activities.
• Provide guidance to contractors, consultants, engineers, and job superintendents on materials, equipment, methods, and safety precautions.
• Perform related tasks assigned by the Resident Engineer, including occasional night work.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of relevant construction inspection experience (preferred).
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
