Collections Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Collections Specialist to oversee the full accounts receivable lifecycle and ensure timely payment resolution. The role works closely with Sales, Billing, Customer Success, and Finance teams, using HighRadius and other internal tools to manage collections and maintain accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the collections process for customer accounts, including proactive outreach on past‑due balances.
• Monitor aging reports, analyze accounts, and reduce outstanding receivables through timely follow‑up.
• Utilize HighRadius, NetSuite, Salesforce, or other ERP platforms to track payments, disputes, and account reconciliations.
• Partner with Billing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to resolve billing discrepancies and customer concerns.
• Review and reconcile customer accounts, including unapplied payments, credits, disputes, and short payments.
• Support bad‑debt reduction initiatives by identifying high‑risk accounts and escalating appropriately.
• Maintain detailed documentation of interactions, payment commitments, and account status.
• Prepare and distribute aging analysis, collections reports, and bad‑debt summaries for leadership.
• Assist with month‑end reporting and collections‑related activities.
• Escalate priority accounts, bankruptcy risks, or legal concerns to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in full‑cycle collections and accounts receivable.
• Familiarity with HighRadius, NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar ERP/collections platforms.
• Strong understanding of aging reports, bad‑debt management, cash application, and account reconciliation.
• Ability to analyze accounts and identify root causes of delinquency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
