Clinical Case Manager

About the role

Georgetown University is seeking a Clinical Case Manager to join its Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) team on the Capitol Campus. This permanent, 12‑month position focuses on developing and overseeing a comprehensive clinical case‑management system for higher‑risk students.

Key responsibilities

• Perform triage, clinical assessments, brief interventions, and bridged care for students with diverse mental‑health needs.
• Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and coordinate emergency mental‑health evaluations with first responders.
• Maintain and update a campus‑wide community resource database for referrals.
• Establish collaborative relationships with emergency departments, psychiatric inpatient units, and step‑down programs.
• Ensure confidentiality of student information in line with ethical and legal standards.
• Offer consultation to faculty, staff, students, families, and university offices regarding student well‑being.
• Participate in committees, advisory groups, and mental‑health/wellness coalitions.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse university communities.
• Experience in mental‑health consultation and crisis management.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships with health‑care professionals and non‑professionals.
