Chemical Operator (Cincinnati, OH)

About the role

We are seeking a Chemical Operator to join BASF Care Chemicals in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role involves working on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule to safely run and monitor chemical production equipment, supporting the delivery of a wide range of personal‑care, home‑care and industrial chemicals.

Key responsibilities

• Operate reactors, refining units and filtration systems according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor process parameters, adjust controls, and record production data.
• Transfer raw materials and intermediate products between departments and load tank trucks or rail cars for customer shipments.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Follow all safety, environmental and quality regulations while working in a rotating shift environment.

Required profile

• Ability to work 24/7 rotating shifts, including overtime.
• Strong attention to safety and procedural compliance.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Operation of chemical processing equipment (reactors, refiners, filtration systems).
• Material handling and loading of bulk shipments.
• Basic troubleshooting of process equipment.
