Casework Program Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Casework Program Manager to lead its Extended Case Management, Intensive Case Management and Program for Initial Resettlement services in Salt Lake City. The role provides strategic direction, supervision and ensures high‑quality, client‑centered resettlement support.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of comprehensive, timely services in line with PIR Cooperative Agreement, ICM contract, ECM URCM contract and other funder requirements.
• Guide program implementation using client‑centered, trauma‑informed, strengths‑based approaches.
• Screen clients for eligibility, assign caseloads, and support staff in crisis and complex cases.
• Coordinate referrals with employment, health, education, youth and other departments.
• Maintain program knowledge, adapt to policy updates, best practices and compliance.
• Facilitate cross‑department case staffing and collaboration.
• Supervise 7‑8 staff and interns, conduct onboarding, training, coaching and performance evaluations.
• Monitor documentation, case files and notes for accuracy, timeliness and compliance with federal, state and IRC standards.
• Serve as office expert on casework federal contract requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising casework or resettlement teams.
• Strong understanding of trauma‑informed, client‑centered service delivery.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and respond to safety concerns.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build partnerships with community agencies.
