Cargo Agent – Customer Service (JFK)

About the role

Delta Air Lines is seeking an entry‑level Cargo Agent to serve as the front‑line representative for its cargo operations at JFK. You will interact directly with customers, both in person and over the phone, ensuring shipments are handled safely, securely, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with cargo customers face‑to‑face and by phone, providing service and information.
• Handle cargo documentation and ensure shipments are processed according to safety and security standards.
• Load, unload and move cargo items, including lifting items up to 50 lb, while wearing required PPE.
• Follow operational schedules, working shifts that may range from early morning to overnight and varying weekly hours (20‑40 h) based on seniority.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a physical ability test and lift up to 50 lb.
• Commitment to safety, security and personal data protection.

Required skills

• Basic digital literacy and computer/typing proficiency.
