Cable Manufacturing Operator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Operator to join our high‑voltage cable production line in Charleston. You will work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, operating and maintaining equipment to produce high‑quality cable products.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate and keep clean the equipment used in cable manufacturing while meeting quality standards.
• Interact with the Man Machine Interface (MMI) and shop‑floor systems to enter production data, daily reports, and scrap tracking.
• Read and follow Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation.
• Complete all required operational paperwork and documentation.
• Use hand tools for equipment setup, teardown, and routine adjustments.
• Perform quality checks using micrometers, OTDR, gauge‑block microscope and related inspection tools.

Required profile

• Proficient equipment operation with a focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to quickly learn and use MMI/touch‑screen systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective problem‑solving, adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Willingness to train, coach and support team members.

Required skills

• Operation of MMI/touch‑screen interfaces.
• Use of micrometer, OTDR and gauge‑block microscope for inspections.
• Proficiency with hand tools for equipment setup and maintenance.
• Basic math for interpreting process sheets and tracking material usage.
