Associate Buyer

About the role

The Associate Buyer will support the buying team in developing and executing product strategies that align with company goals. This entry‑level position involves analysing trends, assisting with seasonal planning, and collaborating with cross‑functional partners across buying, planning, inventory control and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse product trends and historical data at the departmental level to inform seasonal strategies and financial targets.
• Attend pre‑season meetings with buying and planning teams and contribute to line edit sessions.
• Create, update and distribute assortment sheets, communicating changes to relevant business partners.
• Support senior management line reviews by compiling and presenting data on product assortment and sales performance.
• Participate in sales forecast and open‑to‑buy (OTB) discussions to develop an understanding of key financial concepts.
• Visit stores to gather customer and associate feedback and communicate insights to management.
• Conduct competitive analysis by evaluating product assortments, pricing, merchandising strategies and business opportunities at rival stores.
• Share information in weekly cross‑functional meetings and provide training or feedback to peers and assistant buyers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience or a strong interest in fashion buying.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn financial concepts such as sales forecasting and OTB.

• Base salary between $70,304 and $75,000 per year.
