About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks an Assistant Professor to join its Internal Medicine Palliative Care department. This faculty position focuses on delivering high‑quality palliative care, advancing research, and educating medical students, residents, and fellows.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct palliative care services to patients and families within the UAMS health system.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in palliative medicine.
• Develop and conduct clinical and translational research projects.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Contribute to curriculum development and scholarly activities.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or related specialty.
• Demonstrated commitment to palliative care clinical practice, education, and research.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
