Assistant Designer – Outlet Leathergoods

About the role

The Assistant Designer will support the creative development of handbags and leather goods for the outlet line, working under the Senior Design Director from concept through final production. This role helps translate seasonal vision into market‑ready products while keeping the design process organized and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct seasonal trend, market and material research to inform design concepts.
• Support the design process from initial sketches to production.
• Create and maintain detailed CAD files and technical specification packages for factories and product development partners.
• Prepare design presentations, mood boards and visual tools for milestone meetings.
• Organize and maintain design samples, panels, trials and reference libraries.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Product Development, Hardware Design, Technical Design and Print Design teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 + years of relevant design experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong hand‑sketching ability and knowledge of raw materials and construction techniques.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Flexible, self‑motivated and eager to learn in a fast‑paced, creative environment.
