Assistant Community Manager – Real Estate Operations

About the role
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in the day‑to‑day financial and operational management of a residential community. This position handles accounting, rent collection, invoicing, and uses property‑management software to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
- Process invoices and payables, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
- Operate Yardi/OneSite property‑management software, entering transactions accurately and maintaining system integrity.
- Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
- Manage vendor invoices, reconcile work performed, and coordinate communication between vendors, accounting, and owners.
- Follow established eviction procedures, represent the community in court hearings, and handle resident move‑out processes, including deposit and fee assessments.
Required profile
- Experience with Yardi or OneSite property‑management platforms.
- Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge, including bank reconciliations.
- Familiarity with lease agreements, fee collection, and eviction processes.
