About the role

Greystar is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager of Monterey Village. This position plays a key role in the day‑to‑day financial and operational management of the community, ensuring accurate accounting, timely rent collection, and smooth vendor interactions.

Key responsibilities

  • Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
  • Process invoices and payables, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
  • Operate Greystar’s property management software (Yardi/OneSite) to record transactions, generate reports, and maintain system integrity.
  • Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate balances, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
  • Handle move‑out procedures, including lease term review, deposit calculations, and applicable fees.
  • Assist with eviction processes, ensuring proper notice, court representation, and compliance with company policies.

Required profile

  • Experience with residential property accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with lease agreements, rent collection policies, and eviction procedures.
