Assistant Athletic Trainer (Student Position)

About the role

The University of Arkansas seeks a motivated Assistant Athletic Trainer to support the health and wellness of student‑athletes. Working under the direction of the lead Athletic Trainer, you will help deliver preventative care, injury assessment, and rehabilitation services across campus athletic programs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating sports‑related injuries.
• Provide on‑field support during practices, games, and competitions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all treated athletes.
• Prepare and manage treatment areas, equipment, and supplies.
• Educate athletes on injury prevention, proper conditioning, and safe training practices.

Required profile

• Current enrollment at the University of Arkansas or recent graduate.
• Strong interest in sports medicine and athlete health.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of athletic training principles and first‑aid procedures.
• Proficiency in documenting medical information accurately.
