Accountant – Real Estate Financial Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Philadelphia team, supporting the financial operations of our multifamily and residential condominium properties. This full‑time, in‑office position reports to senior management and works closely with property management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end closing processes.
• Review and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts and monthly workpapers.
• Prepare timely monthly financial statements on an accrual or cash basis.
• Develop and monitor budgets with property management teams.
• Respond to escalated property management needs and issues.
• Prepare financial analysis to inform management decisions.
• Identify and recommend process efficiencies and assist in implementation.
• Mentor other team members.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or real‑estate/construction accounting.
• Adherence to the company’s mission and values.
• Excellent time‑management, detail‑orientation, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• High motivation, integrity, and openness to feedback.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as Entrata, Yardi, or AppFolio.
• Solid understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Active CPA license (preferred).
