About the role

The 5th Grade Teacher will join Maupin Elementary School for the 2026‑2027 academic year, delivering high‑quality instruction to a diverse group of students. This full‑time position works a 7‑hour day across 187 school days.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum.
• Monitor, evaluate, and communicate student progress to parents and administrators.
• Maintain accurate student records and generate required reports.
• Enforce board policies, regulations, and school rules.
• Supervise students during classroom and school activities.
• Secure and maintain school property, materials, and instructional resources.

Required profile

• Valid Kentucky certification appropriate for K‑5 grade level and curricular assignment.
• Experience and preparation as required by the Board.
• Ability to accurately enter experience information for verification purposes.
