About the role
The Web Applications Developer II will design, build, and maintain web functionality for Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. This full‑time staff position focuses on creating responsive, accessible web applications while supporting existing systems.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and enhance new and existing web applications.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for web solutions.
- Gather and analyze requirements from university departments, faculty, and staff.
- Ensure all web content meets accessibility standards.
- Apply responsive web design principles across all projects.
- Manage source code using revision‑control software.
- Report to the Agency Program Manager and collaborate with IT teams.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least four years of web development experience with relational databases and dynamic web applications.
- U.S. citizenship due to data‑security requirements.
- Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Willingness to work onsite in College Station for the first year.
