Visiting Assistant Professor – Printmaking

About the role

The Department of Art & Design at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in Printmaking for the 2026‑2027 academic year. This nine‑month, full‑time appointment replaces a faculty line during a development leave and offers an opportunity to lead a vibrant printmaking studio while teaching undergraduate and graduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach three studio printmaking courses each semester, including foundations and advanced techniques.
• Supervise and mentor graduate teaching assistants and manage the printmaking studio.
• Participate in departmental meetings, graduate seminars, BFA/MFA reviews, and campus artistic events.
• Contribute to the intellectual and creative life of the department through exhibitions, workshops, and collaborations.

Required profile

• MFA in Printmaking with expertise in lithography, intaglio, relief, and screenprint.
• Active exhibition record and successful university‑level teaching experience.
• Knowledge of current safety and health standards for printmaking studios.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented academic environment.
