Supply Chain Technician Lead

About the role

The Supply Chain Technician Lead supports department processes by delivering excellent customer service and applying deep knowledge of inventory control. This role ensures accurate scanning, picking, restocking, and receipt of medical supplies while troubleshooting critical supply issues.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inventory control transactions: scanning products, picking orders, restocking par carts and point‑of‑use locations.
• Receive supplies, verify data accuracy, and manage re‑ordering of items.
• Troubleshoot critical supply order issues, provide status updates, ETA, and alternative options.
• Research product availability from alternate vendors or CHRISTUS facilities during outages and arrange transport as needed.
• Assist leadership with subsystem decisions, contract launch packet verification, and pars adjustments.
• Support clinical staff with product knowledge, handle receiving functions, and interface with procurement.
• Communicate changes to customers and staff, and respond to INR/RNI team requests.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 3‑4 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years in supply chain (inventory, procurement, planning, operations).
• 1 year of demonstrated computer experience.
• Medical product/equipment knowledge and hospital supply chain experience preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Experience using INFOR modules such as Par Specialist, Purchasing Receiver, Inventory Management, Warehouse Clerk, and Mobile Supply Chain Management.
• Familiarity with supply chain applications and inventory management systems.
