About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is looking for a current student to join its ultrasound department as a temporary employee. This on‑site position supports patient care and imaging operations while providing valuable hands‑on experience in a clinical environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist certified sonographers with patient preparation and positioning.
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain ultrasound equipment.
- Document imaging procedures and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
- Follow safety and infection‑control protocols.
- Support scheduling and workflow coordination for the ultrasound suite.
Required profile
- Enrolled as a student in the University of Arkansas System.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to work varying shifts as needed.
- Interest in medical imaging and patient care.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation.
