About the role
The Coordinator of Student Engagement supports the Texas A&M University System Offices by designing and delivering programs that enrich student life on the RELLIS Campus. Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Affairs, this role ensures a vibrant, inclusive environment that promotes academic, social, and personal development.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate, advise, and oversee student organizations and the Engaging RELLIS Academic Alliance Students (ERAAS) Committee.
- Plan and execute events, seminars, workshops, and festivals—including Fall & Spring Festivals, career readiness sessions, and mental‑health awareness activities.
- Organize semesterly career fairs, build relationships with external employers, and collaborate with the Writing Center on career‑focused events.
- Supervise student workers in planning campus events such as RELLIS Recharge and RELLIS House gatherings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university policies through risk‑management training and student‑leadership development.
- Manage event promotion, maintain the events calendar, and support social‑media outreach alongside communication specialists.
- Oversee the Office of Student Life, maintain accurate participation and financial records, and foster positive campus community relations.
Required profile
- Experience in coordinating student organizations, campus events, or similar student‑engagement programs.
- Strong understanding of university policies, risk management, and student leadership training.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, external employers, and student workers.
