Service Technician – Property Maintenance (Rockwall)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical condition of its residential property in Rockwall. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience with inventory tracking and documentation.
