Senior Clinical Application Analyst – Breaker (Lab)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Senior Clinical Application Analyst to support the Breaker laboratory application suite. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that lab information systems operate efficiently, enabling clinicians to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the Breaker Lab application across the UAMS health system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by end‑users.
• Collaborate with EMR teams, laboratory staff, and IT partners to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and deliver training materials and user documentation.
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and validation activities.
• Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve workflow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting clinical or laboratory applications, with a focus on EMR systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clinical and technical teams.

Required skills

• Experience with Breaker Lab application or similar laboratory information systems.
• Knowledge of EMR integration and data exchange standards.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
