Project Financial Analyst – Engagement Financial Advisor

About the role

The Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA) team at Deloitte supports consulting engagements by overseeing their financial health. As a Project Financial Analyst you will partner with project leaders to manage budgets, track performance, forecast revenue and expenses, and ensure projects stay on financial track throughout the lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with engagement teams to manage budgets, track spending, and forecast revenue and expenses.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets and forecasts to aid leadership decision‑making.
• Monitor project spending, support billing and collections, and communicate financial updates to stakeholders.
• Identify financial risks, process issues and improvement opportunities.
• Apply established project management and financial processes to maintain quality and compliance.
• Contribute to team initiatives, knowledge sharing and process‑improvement efforts.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain financial information to non‑financial audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• High attention to detail, problem‑solving mindset and proactive attitude.
• Effective collaboration across teams and stakeholder groups.
