Program Coordinator – Scholarships & Financial Aid

About the role

The Scholarships & Financial Aid office at Texas A&M University is seeking a motivated Program Coordinator to lead staff training initiatives, manage special projects, and provide comprehensive office support. This full‑time position plays a key role in enhancing the department’s operational efficiency and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and deliver weekly staff training sessions, including topic selection, presenter coordination, material preparation, and calendar maintenance.
• Develop and update training resources; deliver sessions as needed.
• Coordinate program communications, announcements, and marketing related to training and departmental initiatives.
• Maintain program statistics, records, and databases; compile reports for leadership.
• Collaborate with supervisors to assess training needs and design new programs.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring for training activities and events.
• Organize and execute program events such as workshops, meetings, and retreats.
• Provide general office support, including secure access facilitation, travel and parking arrangements, and supply coordination.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Knowledge of scholarships, financial aid processes, and related regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours during peak periods.
• Good standing on all Federal Student Loans and ability to resolve any default status within three months of hire.
