Network Analyst III

About the role

The Texas A&M University System Offices are seeking a Network Analyst III to lead network analysis projects and provide technical oversight for enterprise network services. This senior‑level position will coordinate a team, monitor network performance, and ensure compliance with technical standards across the system’s extensive infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate monitoring of network performance and respond to complex enterprise network issues.
• Lead and prioritize the response to network incidents, including Tier III support and problem‑management processes.
• Collect, validate, and document network topology data for use in all network processes.
• Maintain inventory records for replacement equipment, parts, and consumables.
• Identify and isolate unauthorized or compromised devices in collaboration with Network Security.
• Assist junior team members and provide technical guidance on temporary network installations, firewall replacements, and field tasks.
• Prepare status reports, problem reports, and progress summaries for management and users.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise network troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
• Ability to lead a technical team and coordinate network analysis activities.
• Strong understanding of network documentation, inventory management, and problem‑management processes.
• Experience working with network security teams to isolate compromised devices.
